How to change the audio language on Prime Video
Open the language settings
Start playing a show or movie on Prime Video. Click the speech bubble icon in the top-right corner of the player. This opens the subtitles and audio menu.
Switch the audio track
Under Audio, you'll see the available languages. Click the one you want. The audio switches immediately.
Most Amazon originals offer 5-10 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese, and Japanese.
Not all content has multiple audio tracks
Only Amazon originals and select licensed content have multiple audio tracks. If you don't see your target language: - Try a different show — Amazon originals almost always have multiple options - Search for content originally produced in your target language - Filter by language in the Prime Video browse page
Find foreign-language content
Use the Prime Video search bar and search for content in your target language: - "Korean drama" or "K-drama" - "Spanish series" - "Japanese anime" - "French film"
Prime Video also has curated collections like "International TV" and "World Cinema."
Set subtitles to match
Click the same speech bubble icon and set subtitles to your target language. Matching audio and subtitles is better for learning than using English subtitles.
If the show doesn't have subtitles in your target language, try a different title.
Track your immersion automatically
Tracking Languages detects your audio language on Prime Video and counts every minute. It knows the difference between a trailer on the detail page and the actual show — so your time is accurate.
